Gore Outfitters was built around a simple belief. 

Adventure changes people.

Not because it’s comfortable, but because it pulls us away from the noise long enough to remember who we are without it.

I grew up in a family where motorcycles were simply part of life. My grandfather rode. My father rode. My uncles rode. My brothers rode. Now my sons ride too. Some of my earliest memories are from the back of a motorcycle in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, learning that freedom could sound like an engine disappearing into the trees.

But motorcycles were only part of the story.

We’ve been leading people into the backcountry since 2004. Through the years we’ve guided hundreds of groups and thousands of people through climbing trips, ski expeditions, river days, mountain trails, and wilderness experiences across the country.

What I discovered along the way is that hard places have a way of smoothing off the rough edges.

Something changes when you spend time around a campfire or on a mountain road or sleep beside a river.

People slow down.

They reconnect.

They remember things.

Gore Outfitters was created to bring that experience into the world of adventure motorcycling.

We build curated Appalachian ADV expeditions for riders who want more than a rental bike and a GPS pin. Our routes are designed around forest service roads, remote campsites, mountain towns, creek crossings, and the kind of roads that make you forget to check your phone for a while.

This isn’t about escaping life.

It’s about returning to it.

The best adventures have a way of stripping things down to what matters. Good people, difficult roads, cold mornings, campfire conversations, and the feeling of moving forward with nothing ahead but mountains.
